About The Project
Implemented by IPHRD-Africa, the project aims to create spaces for dialogue among youth, and promote peaceful coexistence and social cohesion while enhancing the participation of young women and men in peace processes and their capacities for conflict prevention and resolution.
Further, it focuses on building the capacities of youth, particularly young women leaders from marginalized communities, acknowledging their marginalized role in conflict resolution and mediation processes. Through a comprehensive approach involving training, mentorship, trauma healing and psychosocial support, the project equips participants with skills, knowledge and tools for mediation, negotiation and dialogue, actively working to dismantle gender barriers.
An innovative aspect of the project is the inclusion of arts, culture and technology as tools for effective mediation, and for addressing conflict-related trauma while promoting social cohesion.
