Global Enterprise Experience

New Zealand

The motivation behind the Global Enterprise Experience is to develop future global leaders skilled in managing across cultures and countries with diverse views that are worlds apart.

About The Project

The motivation behind the Global Enterprise Experience is to develop future global leaders skilled in managing across cultures and countries with diverse views that are worlds apart.

To date 9,475 participants from 635 universities in 113 countries have teamed up to take part in the Global Enterprise Experience. Each annual contest has 1,000 students from 60 countries. Participants are placed in teams of eight, with members drawn from around the world. Innovatively, teams compete, not countries. They have three weeks to develop a six-page business concept proposal on a profitable product or service that addresses a social or environmental challenge.

Innovative education principles are used by the Global Enterprise Experience. The learning process reflects the way that learning is used in real life, with a focus on real outputs rather than outputs which are paper based. Key to this project are personal relationships, peer education, and cross-cultural management.
