About The Project

VISIBLE-IN Play uses the power of football to transform how society sees people with disabilities. Implemented by the Itinerarium Foundation, the project connects the global reach of professional football with meaningful, structured experiences of inclusion at the grassroots level.

Its most visible symbol is the world’s first social typeface, drawn by hand by Anna Vives, a young Catalan woman with Down syndrome.

Each year on March 21st, World Down Syndrome Day, leading football clubs bring Anna’s lettering into the pitch by featuring it on their shirts. To date, dozens of professional football clubs around the world have used her typeface during official matches.

But visibility is only the beginning. Through the “Inclusive Football Academy”, players train and play alongside people with disabilities, week after week. Supported by the Compass 4D educational methodology, coaches use these sessions to develop social interpersonal skills, challenge stereotypes, and foster empathy.

Making invisible people visible is the foundation and heart of the project. People with disabilities are not just recipients of support, but active teammates, participants, and contributors.
